Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On Martial, Cavani, De Gea And Shaw

Manchester United will be without Edinson Cavani for the game against RB Leipzig this evening. The Uruguayan international was substituted at half-time during the 3-1 victory against West Ham and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the player has a minor niggle.

It is the same situation for Anthony Martial, who was replaced after the hour mark at the London Stadium on Saturday. The Frenchman is not expected to be out for too long with a suspected groin injury, and both players are likely to be in contention for the Manchester derby this weekend.

Luke Shaw is back in the squad after missing the last month due to a hamstring problem. The 25-year-old’s last match for the Red Devils was the 3-1 win over Everton before the last international break.

David De Gea had to sit out the victory over the Hammers due to a knock, with Dean Henderson deputising in his absence, but the Spaniard is expected to return in goal for the crucial Champions League clash versus Leipzig tonight.

Phil Jones also remains on the treatment table, with the defender still recovering from a long-term knee injury he sustained at the back end of last season.
