Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is back in training after recovering from a back problem.

The Frenchman has not played since being substituted during the first half of the 2-1 win over Everton last month but he could be back in the squad to play Real Sociedad later this week.

Antony missed the 1-0 victory against West Ham on Sunday after picking up a minor knock, and manager Erik ten Hag says he is hopeful that the Brazillian will only be sidelined for a couple of days.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is back in training after a muscular injury and, while he wasn’t selected for the Hammers fixture, he may well face Sociedad. Victor Lindelof was also absent at the weekend due to illness so we shall see if he’s available for Thursday.

Brandon Williams (knock) is said to be making good progress in his recovery but he isn’t ready for first team action quite yet. Raphael Varane (thigh) has been ruled out until the World Cup while Axel Tuanzebe won’t feature before Christmas
