Manchester United had to battle to secure a 1-0 win against West Ham yesterday evening, and Luke Shaw was once again integral as the Red Devils kept a clean sheet.
The whole back four were outstanding, with Diogo Dalot deservedly taking a lot of the plaudits, but Shaw’s form since returning to the team has been excellent.
Many questioned whether the 27-year-old would get his place back in the side due to Tyrell Malacia’s impressive early showings in a Red shirt, but Shaw has shown a great deal of determination to prove to manager Erik ten Hag that he should be a regular starter. Fans on Twitter have been very impressed by what they have seen from the fullback, especially last night:

If you were picking holes in his performance versus West Ham, you could say that his final ball did let him down somewhat but he was getting into the right positions, overlapping on the left flank. Overall, Sunday’s display has cemented Shaw’s position in the starting lineup.
