Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Daniel James should be fit for Thursday’s game against Derby County in the FA Cup.
The Wales international sat out the 1-1 draw against Everton at the weekend due to a knock, but the 22-year-old is expected to be back in the squad for the game at Pride Park.
Axel Tuanzebe has now recovered from a hamstring injury. The defender has not played since the Carabao Cup tie versus Colchester in December but he played the full 90 minutes as the Under 23s won 3-2 against Stoke last night.
Another player who featured in that game was Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The Dutchman has recovered from a thigh problem that he picked up a couple of months ago.
Paul Pogba (ankle) is closing in on a return to fitness, although it looks almost certain that the derby against Manchester City on Sunday will come too soon. The match the following weekend versus Tottenham could be a more likely return date.
Marcus Rashford (back) and Lee Grant (surgery) remain out of contention for the long term.
