Manchester United have made an offer worth €80m (£68.6m) for Atletico Madrid attacking midfielder Marcos Llorente, according to reports in the Spanish media.
The Spaniard has been one of Atletico’s best players since he arrived from archrivals Real Madrid just under two years ago, and the La Liga club are believed to be reluctant to sell up.
Supporters on Twitter are sceptical about the accuracy of the reporting and they think there are better options on the market than Llorente for that price tag:
Just get rice if your gonna spend 80m

Llorente has been in very good form this season, having scored ten goals and provided nine assists in 36 appearances, but he plays in a position which United are already well catered for.
Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek can all play in advanced midfield positions. As some fans point out, the club would be better off spending their money on more defence-minded midfielders.
