Journalist Claims United Are Considering Shock Approach For Ex Chelsea And Everton Boss

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is a potential candidate to replace Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United, according to UOL Esporte journalist Bruno Andrade.

The Brazilian reporter claims that the former Chelsea and Everton head coach is being seriously considered due to his close connections with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ancelotti managed Ronaldo for two years during his first stint a Real and it is believed that the pair could be reunited at Old Trafford if the Red Devils do make an approach for the Italian.

It should be pointed out that Ancelotti was mentioned as a potential option at the start of last month, when it was rumoured that Sir Alex Ferguson had recommended him as an alternative to Mauricio Pochettino.

However, since then, Ajax’s Erik ten Hag has emerged as the favourite to become the club’s next permanent manager so, whether Andrade is simply relaying old information, we simply don’t know at this stage.
