“I’ve Got A Sneaky Suspicion…” United Backed To Beat Chelsea And Arsenal In Hunt To Sign 75M Rated Midfield General

Manchester United could see off rivals to secure the signature of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan.

The former Crystal Palace owner says he has a gut instinct that the England international will end up at Old Trafford if the Manchester club can maintain their current form:

“I’ve got a sneaky suspicion, if Manchester United keeps going the way they are – win a cup, even win the league title, that he could end up occupying the quarterback role at Manchester United.”

Reliable sources suggest that United are still in the running to sign Rice, although reports over the last week have indicated that Arsenal may have leapfrogged the Red Devils and Chelsea to become favourites to secure the player’s services.

A lot will depend on Champions League qualification. Rice has expressed his desire to play in the competition on numerous occasions so, as long as Erik ten Hag’s side finish in the top four, they will be in contention.

West Ham are believed to be demanding a fee in excess of £100m for the 23-year-old but, due to the midfielder’s contract situation, it has been claimed they may settle for around £75m to £85m.
