Italian Giants Line Up Two Year Contract For United Veteran As Talks Over New Deal Drag On

Inter Milan are looking to secure Manchester United fullback Ashley Young on a free transfer, according to reports in England.

The 33-year-old can sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club as of January 1st, and the Serie A side are said to be prepared to offer the veteran a two-year deal.

United are believed to be in negotiations with Young over an extension to his current contract that expires in the summer but, so far, there has been no breakthrough in talks.

The Manchester club are reportedly keen to keep hold of the defender with the England international having made 17 starts in all competitions so far this campaign.

Whether Young would be interested in moving to Inter, it isn’t known. A two-year contract from the Italian club could prove to be tempting for the former Aston Villa player, but he may be keen to see out the remainder of his career at Old Trafford.
