Intermediaries Of £965K A Week Star Have ‘Spoken’ With United And 4 Other PL Clubs About Summer Transfer

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is interested in making a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United one of the Brazilian’s potential destinations, according to 90min.com.

The website claims “intermediaries” have “spoken” to the Red Devils, Manchester City, Newcastle, Chelsea and Liverpool about the prospect of a summer switch to England.

Neymar is currently earning around £965,000 a week and PSG are believed to be open to selling the 31-year-old to get him off the wage bill. From United’s perspective, any deal would probably be dependent on a takeover of the club.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, the club’s highest earner is currently David De Gea who is on £375,000 a week, but the club are actually in negotiations to have that salary lowered in the Spaniard’s next contract.

Considering Neymar’s sizeable wage demands, it does seem unlikely that any team in the Premier League team would be able to afford him at the moment, but things could change on the front.
