Pundit Claims Arsenal Could “Get Pipped by Manchester United” As He Makes Top 3 Prediction

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan is backing Manchester United to finish second in the Premier League this season.

Some have even been talking about Erik ten Hag’s side getting involved in the title race, but Jordan feels Manchester City are likely to end the season top of the table, although he claims United could still overhaul Arsenal:

“They’re a good side, a good unit, a well-coached team, but I don’t think they will do it [win the league] this season. And I think they might even get pipped by Manchester United for second spot.”

Considering the Gunners’ poor form at the moment, there is a growing possibility that the Red Devils will catch them in the coming weeks and months.

Ten Hag’s men are currently five points behind Arsenal, albeit having played a game more, but that margin has already been reduced from the 11-point gap that opened up after United’s defeat at the Emirates last month.

A lot will, of course, depend on how they manage the fixture list. Their Europa League commitments mean they will be playing every few days. After drawing against Barcelona in the Camp Nou on Thursday, they host Leicester City next up at Old Trafford this weekend.
