Manchester United have opened talks with Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar’s agents about a possible switch to Old Trafford, according to reports in England.
The Frenchman is said to be unhappy with his lack of game time in Spain and does not think he fits into Diego Simeone’s style of football. Despite the player’s willingness to leave his current club, United fans on Twitter do not think a move for the 24-year-old is a good idea:
Noooooo I would rather bring back Sanchez

Lemar’s record since making the £63m move from Monaco to Atletico is pretty appalling. He has managed just three goals and six assists in 67 appearances for the Spanish club.
Of course, you do have to take into account the defensive mindset of Atletico, and the fact that he has been used from the bench regularly, but there’s no doubt he has struggled badly.
With the likes of Jadon Sancho on the market, a move for Lemar would be classed as a disappointing second choice by supporters.
