Harry Redknapp Predicts Where United Will Finish As He Names His Premier League Top Four

Former Portsmouth and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Manchester United will finish third in the Premier League table this campaign.

Heading into this evening’s fixtures, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sit second in the table, but Redknapp thinks Liverpool will overtake them in the run-in, with Manchester City likely to lift the title:

“I suppose Manchester City are favourites. I was with Liverpool but I think Manchester City probably. There’s two runners Man City and liverpool and then Manchester United and Tottenham. I do like Leicester, Brendan Rodgers has done a fantastic job there. They’re the team that could break into it and Chelsea have good players but I’m sticking with Manchester United and Tottenham as third and fourth.”

Finishing in the same position as last campaign would certainly disappoint fans but, if United do manage to bridge the points gap to both City and Liverpool this season, it would certainly be a sign of progress.

Of course, nobody should dismiss their chances of finishing top of the league just yet, although the last two results have been a reality check. Solskjaer needs to see more belief from his team in upcoming games.

The match versus Southampton at Old Trafford tonight is another stern test that the Red Devils need to pass if they are to maintain a title challenge.
