Manchester United are planning on offering left-back Brandon Williams a new contract as a reward for his performances, according to reports in the English media.
The 19-year-old is said to be earning a mere £4,000 a week despite having made 26 appearances in all competitions for the first team this season.
Supporters on Twitter think a pay rise for Williams is fully merited:

My man was on a 4k/w contract playing his heart out while 4k is what Shaw spends in McDonald’s every month

The teenager has certainly not let anyone down when called upon by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this campaign, having scored his first senior goal against Sheffield United, whilst also providing two assists.
Williams does still need to improve defensively, but he is a major threat in the final third, and he clearly has the tenacity and desire to make it at the highest level.
The fullback will certainly give Luke Shaw a run for his money for a starting place at left-back when the Premier League resumes later this month.
