Manchester United are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano
The reporter claims that the Red Devils have sent scouts to watch the Netherlands Under 21 international on a number of occasions:
There are lot of clubs interested in Jeremie Frimpong. He has been pre-selected for Holland national team, and he scored again in the weekend 🔴👀 #transfers
Current deal expires in 2025 – Manchester United sent their scouts to follow him as per @Plettigoal, as many other clubs. pic.twitter.com/jCKDs4Smnt

Fans on Twitter are very much behind a move for Frimpong, although some have questioned whether he is needed considering they already have Diogo Dalot:
Get it done ASAP

I watched some of this guy’s vids. He’s so good I thought he was a RW! But this guy at RB would be excellent. I hope we get him.

he’s actually pretty decent tbf, my only worry is Bundesliga tax, but he came through City’s academy, which is normally a good sign

Dalot is good, but he needs top competition. Frimpong is very fast and good in attack. Just the type of rightback who might fit Ten Hag 🙌🏼

Frimpong actually started out his career in Manchester City’s academy before he joined Celtic. He made a name for himself at the Hoops and just eighteen months after moving to Scotland, he was snapped up by Leverkusen.
The Dutchman is a very attack-minded fullback, which does mean he isn’t the greatest defensively, but he would be the type of player that manager Erik ten Hag would want as potential competition for Dalot on the right-hand side. We shall see if the club make a move for the defender in January.
