GALLERY: Manchester United’s Player Ratings In FIFA 21 Are Revealed

With FIFA 21 being officially released worldwide tomorrow, we thought it would be good to take a look at the ratings that Manchester United’s players have been given for this year’s edition of the game.

EA Sports are not generally great at getting these ratings right. Over the years, players have taken to social media to ask why they have been ranked so low, but, it must be pointed, they are not expert scouts.

A lot of the time, ratings are designed to balance out the strength of a team’s squad as a whole so a lot of the numbers they use are pretty arbitrary. If you want a more accurate representation, you may want to play a game like Football Manager!

Press the next page as we go through the ratings of Manchester United’s first-team players in FIFA 21.

Goalkeepers:

This is an interesting area considering the debate surrounding who should be number one between David De Gea and Dean Henderson.

In the ratings, EA have gone with De Gea, rating him at 86, while Henderson has been handed an 80 rating, along with Sergio Romero. United’s third-choice keeper, Lee Grant, is rated at 70.

Defenders:

This is a notably week spot for United and, in fact, one of the club’s newest signings Alex Telles is the highest rated in this area with a rating of 84. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is just behind him (83) while the other full-backs, Luke Shaw (81) and Brandon Williams (75), are ranked slightly lower.

Harry Maguire, despite being the captain and costing £80m, has been handed an 82 rating by EA. The England international is, however, the highest-rated centre-back with Victor Lindelof (80), Eric Bailly (79), Phil Jones (75) and Axel Tuanzebe (73) all given pretty low marks.

Midfielders:

A position that United are certainly much stronger in, it is not a surprise that Bruno Fernandes is ranked the highest with an 87 rating, with Paul Pogba (86) and new recruit Donny van de Beek (83) behind him.

In regards to holding midfielders, Fred is rated at 81, just ahead of Nemanja Matic on 80 and Scott McTominay on 79.

Forwards:

It is important to note that Edinson Cavani is not in this year’s edition of FIFA 21, at the moment. As he was a free agent until very recently, the Uruguayan international will be included in an update at a later date.

In terms of those who are in the game, though, Marcus Rashford has been given a rating of 85, just ahead of Anthony Martial on 84. Odion Ighalo is ranked at 77, with Mason Greenwood surprisingly given a meagre 77 rating; the same as Daniel James.
