Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland will expect a weekly wage of £350,000 a week at his next club, according to reports in the English media.

Manchester United have now made the Norwegian international their top summer target, having decided against a move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane due to the cost of the transfer.

Haaland won’t be cheap either but Dortmund may be forced into selling the 20-year-old this summer, with the global health crisis putting pressure on the club’s finances.

United will, of course, not be the only team looking to snap up the Norwegian. Manchester City are targeting him as a potential replacement for Sergio Aguero, while Chelsea have also been heavily linked in recent weeks.

One major stumbling block could be Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola. However, it is thought that United are willing to hold talks with the Dutchman, even though many believe his involvement scuppered the club’s £20m move for the player in January last year when he was still at Red Bull Salzburg.
