David Ornstein Makes Raiola Claim Which Could Impact United’s Pursuit Of Erling Haaland

Mino Raiola is NOT Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland’s “main” agent, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.

The reliable former BBC reporter says that Haaland’s father, Alf Inge, represents his son, and he will be the person that clubs will have to do business with if they are to secure the Norwegian’s signature this summer.

How this will affect the race for Haaland, it is not known. It may boost Manchester City’s chances of signing the 20-year-old with the player’s father having played for the club.

Raiola’s previous clashes with Pep Guardiola have also been cited as a potential obstacle to the transfer going ahead. However, the Dutchman’s lack of involvement may also help United.

The Red Devils have had issues with the agent in relation to one of his other clients, Paul Pogba, and if he is indeed sidelined from the deal, it may help smooth negotiations.

Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also thought to be interested in Haaland with Dortmund likely to demand in excess of £100m for the striker.
