With Dean Henderson having started against Wolves on Sunday, though, it does point towards David De Gea being handed the gloves.

In the centre of defence, with captain Harry Maguire almost certain not to play due to an ankle injury, Victor Lindelof is expected to line up alongside Eric Bailly. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are likely to start in the fullback positions.

Midfield remains a dilemma for Solskjaer. Fred was not in the matchday squad at the weekend and the Brazilian is in a race against time to be fit for the match in Poland. However, if he can prove his fitness, he will probably line up alongside Scott McTominay, with Bruno Fernandes ahead of them in the no.10 role.

With Paul Pogba likely to play on the left wing, there will be a call to make on whether to start either Mason Greenwood or Marcus Rashford on the right flank. The latter’s experience would probably get him the nod, with Edinson Cavani making up the rest of the eleven.
