‘Composure Is Crazy For That Age’ ‘Like Pogba’ ‘Boy Has Potential’ United Fans Deliver Verdict On 17 Year Old’s PL Debut

Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo was handed his Premier League debut in the 3-0 win over Leicester City at the weekend.

The 17-year-old was given the last ten minutes by manager Erik ten Hag, who has really taken a shine to the teenager since his arrival at Old Trafford last summer. It was the player’s third appearance of the season after featuring in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.

Twitter account MU Comps put together a compilation that included all of Mainoo’s touches against Leicester and supporters were impressed by his confidence on the ball:

Mainoo was certainly not overawed when he came on as a substitute on Sunday. He completed seven of his eight passes, whilst also making two progressive carries.

Despite his cameo, the midfielder actually played the full 90 minutes for the Under 21s in the 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace just a day afterward, which demonstrates his enthusiasm and willingness to put the effort in. Fans will be hoping to see more of him in the coming months.
