Manchester United are open to selling forward Anthony Martial for the right price this summer, according to multiple reports in the English media.
It is believed that, if and when Jadon Sancho does sign on the dotted line, Martial may struggle for game time due to the increased competition for places in the front three.
Supporters on Twitter are not particularly happy with this latest development with some believing that selling Martial could lead to another situation similar to Romelu Lukaku:
Big mistake. You rotate him for Cavani and Rashford. #MUFC

Doesn’t make any sense whatsoever

On the face of it, it doesn’t make a great deal of sense. Sancho is a right winger and will not be taking Martial’s position in the starting lineup. If the Frenchman were to leave, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood would effectively be the club’s two main centre-forwards.
There is an intriguing twist though. Martial is thought to be interesting Tottenham, so perhaps the 25-year-old could be used in a potential part-exchange offer for Harry Kane?
