Andre Onana To Start; Marcus Rashford On The Bench: United’s Predicted XI To Play Wolves

It’s been another eventful week in the soap opera that is Manchester United football club. Manager Erik ten Hag says the nightclub incident involving Marcus Rashford has been dealt with and he will be in contention to face Wolves on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils boss has also confirmed that Andre Onana has returned from international duty after Cameroon were knocked out of the African Cup of Nations and he could be in contention for the trip to Molineux.

It means deputy Altay Bayindir’s brief stint in goal is expected to come to an end after he made his debut against Newport County last weekend.

In terms of the rest of the team, Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw are set to start in the two fullback positions, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka still thought to be sidelined with a knock.

Ten Hag does now have options in the centre of defence, with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez both fit again. After being the goto pairing last season, ten Hag may opt to start Martinez alongside Raphael Varane.

With Mason Mount also ruled out, there will probably be no changes to the midfield that started versus Newport, with Casemiro partnering Kobbie Mainoo, and captain Bruno Fernandes playing as the No.10.

Up front, despite being available, it’s very unlikely that Rashford will be reintroduced back into the starting lineup straight away. Ten Hag will probably stick with Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Antony as his front three following their exploits in the FA Cup.

After getting his first goal of the season last time out, Antony will be hoping to build on that display at Molineux.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI to face Wolves:

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Fernandes, Mainoo, Antony, Hojlund, Garnacho
