‘Academy FC Masterclass’ ‘Ole’s Babes’ – United Fans React As 8 Academy Players Make Squad For PSG Clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named a youthful squad for the Champions League second leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow.

The Norwegian selected eight academy graduates in the travelling party, including Brandon Williams, Scott McTominay, Angel Gomes, Andreas Pereira, James Garner, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong.

Some fans are delighted Solskjaer has selected so many young players:

Others are fearing a hiding from PSG at the Parc des Princes tomorrow evening:

There are ten senior players out of action with Phil Jones still not fit to travel due to illness so Solskjaer really has had very little choice but to blood young talent.

With so many injuries in midfield, and Pogba suspended, we could see Pereira and McTominay line up alongside Fred in the centre of the park, which would be far from Solskjaer’s first choice line up.

While the likes of Rashford, Pereira and McTominay already have bags of first-team games under their belt, it will be a new experience for the other five. Whether any of them will be selected to start, it remains to be seen.
