Latest Manchester United Injury Report Ahead Of The PSG Game

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Anthony Martial won’t be fit to face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The Frenchman suffered a groin injury in the first leg of the last 16 tie but the Norwegian has said he’ll not be risked in the second leg:

“Not really, no. It doesn’t look like it. I don’t think we can risk Martial. He’s not been training yet, so I don’t think so.”

Solskjaer will also be without Alexis Sanchez who injured his medial ligament in his right knee against Southampton at the weekend.

United are already without Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata due to hamstring injuries, making it likely that the Red Devils will opt for a two-man strikeforce of Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku against PSG.

Midfielders Nemanja Matic (muscular) Ander Herrera (hamstring) are also likely to be missing for the encounter in the Parc des Princes.

Captain Antonio Valencia is a few weeks away from full fitness after suffering a recurrence of an old calf injury, while Matteo Darmian is out of contention due to a knock.

Phil Jones was again missing against the Saints due to illness, and it remains to be seen whether the centre-back will return to the matchday squad for Wednesday’s trip to France.
