Manchester United have contacted super-agent Mino Raiola about signing Roma fullback Ricardo Calafiori, according to reports in the English media.
The Giallorossi are said to be prepared to sell the 18-year-old at the right price with the Serie A club needing to sell players to balance the books.
It has led to both United and Paris Saint-Germain taking a keen interest in Calafiori with scouts seeing the left-back as having a big future in the game.
The teenager could yet, though, stay in Italy with Roma having offered a contract extension. His current deal with the club expires in 2022.
Whether United would need another young left-back, considering they already have Brandon Williams on their books, it is debatable.
Calafiori has yet to make a senior appearance for Roma, although he has been an unused substitute on four occasions this campaign. He did, however, make his debut for Italy’s Under 19s back in February.
