Mino Raiola could jeopardise Manchester United’s move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, according to Defensa Central. The Spanish website claims the agent has “offered” the centre-back to Real Madrid.

The La Liga side are said to be weighing up whether to make a bid for the Dutch international with manager Zinedine Zidane believed to be very keen on signing the player.

However, Real’s move for de Ligt would depend on Sergio Ramos leaving the club. Zidane does not want to sign another defender to sit on the bench, and with Raphael Varane expected to stay at the Bernabeu, Ramos is the player that would have to be sacrificed.

If that doesn’t happen, though, a move United could still be a possibility, but the poor relationship with Raiola is likely to be a major obstacle.

The Italian-born Dutchman has spoken out numerous times to criticise the club whilst representing Paul Pogba, and his role in Erling Haaland’s failed transfer to Old Trafford has also raised questions over whether the Red Devils would ever do business with him again.
