“You are fake news” – United fans respond to Pogba/Madrid rumours

Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the rumours that Paul Pogba is to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Frenchman has been reportedly eyed by the La Liga giants, who are said to be preparing an audacious £120 million bid for the midfielder in the summer after a tough few months with the Red Devils.

Pogba was subbed following a touchline spat with Jose Mourinho during last month’s defeat to Tottenham, and a week later was dropped for youngster James McTominay when United took on Huddersfield Town.

Despite the rumours however, Jose Mourinho has insisted any such talk of him leaving the club is a lie.

When asked about the speculation of him leaving for the Bernabeu, Mourinho responded in typical fashion, saying: “I think you are nice with your words – because when you say lot of speculation you should say a lot of lies. Don’t be nice, be objective and say lies.

Pogba has struggled in recent weeks for Manchester United.

“It’s a big lie that our relation is not good, it’s a big lie that we don’t communicate, a big lie that we don’t agree with his positions and his involvement in the dynamic of the team.

“It’s easy and honest and objective to say Paul didn’t play well against Newcastle but some of the guys they are paid millions, don’t let people read things that are not true.”

And the United fans seem to agree. Despite his struggles, they don’t see their club record signing going anywhere just yet …
