‘Wow, We Are A Joke’ ‘Honestly Would Rather Have Ighalo Back’ Fans Not Happy As United Are Linked With Chelsea Flop

Manchester United are considering whether to make a loan offer for Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports in the UK.

The Spanish international was being looked at as an option during the summer transfer window and it appears he is now back on the club’s radar as they eye a cheap replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Morata didn’t exactly impress during his last spell in England with Chelsea and fans on Twitter are very much against the forward making the switch to Old Trafford:

It should be pointed out that Morata had a decent World Cup, scoring three goals and providing one assist in four appearances for Spain, despite the fact that he didn’t start the first two group games.

However, the 30-year-old’s finishing is rather erratic and he certainly isn’t a player that you can rely upon to get 15 to 20 goals a season. We shall have to wait and see whether United do go ahead with an approach for the striker.
