Manchester United are not currently looking to sign Tottenham forward Harry Kane despite fielding an inquiry about whether they would be interested in signing him, according to The Athletic.
Journalist Laurie Whitwell claims that the England captain is currently not on the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shortlist of targets for the summer. It has led to a mixed reaction among fans on Twitter:
150m is ridiculous would rather get Werner for 60m

Not bothered don't want him. If figures of £250m are correct I'd rather sancho and haaland and partly for £50m more

We’ll get him in 2021 imo.

I mean, we won’t get him, let’s be honest

He’s too injury prone for the price he’s gonna be

shouldn’t be a priority considering how much he’ll cost, Sancho and a defensive midfielder is what we need ??♂️

Whether United would actually turn down Kane if he was offered to them, though, is another question. Reports suggest that the 26-year-old would cost in the region of £150m.
The striker is reportedly becoming increasingly unsettled at Spurs and will consider his future in the summer as he looks to win silverware.
Failure to qualify for the Champions League could well prove a tipping point for Kane with Tottenham reportedly unwilling to break the bank to revamp their squad if they do not finish in the top four this season.
