‘Would Be Superb’ ‘Bring Him In Please’ – United Fans Debate Attempts To Hire Ex United Star As Director Of Football
Manchester United are considering hiring former goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar as the club’s Director of Football, according to reports in the UK.
The Dutchman is currently the chief executive at Ajax and his knowledge of the club could make him a good candidate for the role at Old Trafford.
United’s preferred option is reportedly RB Leipzig’s head of recruitment Paul Mitchell but it is believed it will be hard to prise him away from the German club.

At the bookmakers, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now the favourite, ahead of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, to be in charge of the Manchester club at the start of next season.
