Wolves V Manchester United: Match Preview And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would have been absolutely delighted with the team’s 4-0 win over Chelsea on the opening day. They did struggle early on but after Marcus Rashford slotted away his penalty in the first half, the Red Devils began to take control of the match.

Monday’s opponent’s Wolves appear to have been distracted by their Europa League qualifying campaign, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side having drawn their first game 0-0 away at Leicester City.

It wasn’t a bad result against the Foxes by any means but it will be interesting to see how the extra workload of European football will affect their league form. They were excellent at Molineux last season, though, and United will have to be on their game to get the three points.

Solskjaer is unlikely to make many changes to his starting lineup with both Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka having had impressive debuts at Old Trafford last weekend.

Wolves will almost certainly continue playing a 3-5-2 formation so United’s defences will have to ensure they cope with the two main strikers.

At the bookies, United are the slight favourites with Betfair currently having them at 7/5 to win. A draw is 12/5 with Betfred while a Wolves victory is also 12/5 at BetVictor.
