Will United Benefit From The Neymar To Real Madrid Saga?

Good news for Manchester United fans who might be seeing one of the best minds in football performing at Old Trafford. Real Madrid seem to be willing to sell World Cup winner Toni Kroos in order to cover expenses for Neymar’s arrival.

Regardless of the reason for which Kroos will be put up for sale, Manchester United should not miss this opportunity. The 27-year-old is the kind of player you have a really hard time finding. He is proper German engineering this guy. He is accurate, he has never had disciplinary problems, he has a brilliant football mind, he has reached his football maturity and he has all the experience in the world. He has won 3 Champions Leagues, a World Cup trophy and totals an incredible 18 other major trophies both international and domestic.

His arrival would bring a definite plus to United’s squad who need Kroos’ orchestration skills, his cool head and again his experience. It is not a coincidence he has won and actively been involved in Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Germany’s roads to glory.

According to The Express, Kroos would definitely consider moving to the Premier League. He apparently opened talks with United back in 2013 before joining Real Madrid so why not believe this is the club he will pick as his next home? Furthermore, the PL seems like the next natural step for the 27-year-old who has won all that can be won in the Bundesliga and in the Spanish La Liga.

Mourinho will have to work fast though as Manchester City seem to be on the same lead. Not sure if Kroos will enjoy working with Guardiola though as he was the one who sold the German midfielder to Real. It was one of Guardiola’s most controversial moves back then, a move that did not go down smoothly.

Kroos was not happy with the whole situation and it is verly likely to avoid ever working with the Catalan manager meaning that he will avoid City while Pep is there.

There is no rumored fee yet when it comes to Kroos’ transfer. When he left Bayern, the 27-year-old cost Real Madrid around £30million. Taking into consideration how the market is now (Van Dijk joined Liverpool for £70.92m) you might expect Kroos to cost around the same amount.

In terms of where Kroos would fit in, well he’d probably play somewhere next to Matic and behind Pogba. He would most likely have to battle it out with Herrera and Fellaini who recently was rumored to leave.

The German midfielder would definitely bring some stability and vision to United’s central block and would also increase build-up accuracy as his passing rates are amazing. He would be a very good transfer even if it ends up being sealed in the summer.
