Manchester United are definitely looking for a striker this summer. With what appears to be an unlimited budget, LVG is only left to figure out who to bid for. According to the Daily Star, he is very interested in Thomas Muller who represents German football at its best. He is incredibly serious, efficient, determined, experienced and most importantly, deadly in front of goal. Even though he is not a pure number 9 and he played in the same position Rooney did a while back, he can still improve Manchester’s scoring rate.

He was linked to Manchester repeatedly but apparently something changed. He is rumored to have been involved into a fight with Guardiola again which will probably make this the third time the two have been involved in a conflict of this kind.

Muller is under contract with Bayern until 2019 and will be very expensive and difficult to sign. Fortunately Van Gaal has a great card up his sleeve. Angel Di Maria is seen as the perfect replacement for Ribery which could mean a swap is in place. Manchester have already secured their left wing where they have Depay and Young. The can now focus on signing Muller who might need a striker to work with considering his roots as a second striker. Cavani could be a solution but which striker LVG bids for remains to be seen…
