‘Why’s He Lying?’ ‘Stop Protecting Them!!’ Fans Astonished By Solskjaer’s Response To Question On United’s Transfer Policy

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the club’s failures in the transfer market following the abject 6-1 home defeat to Tottenham yesterday.

Sky Sports pundit Patrice Evra has heavily criticised those at Old Trafford who are in charge of the Red Devil’s transfer dealings but when asked at his post-match press conference whether he had any problems with how the club is being run, Solskjaer replied:

“No, it’s not an issue, at all.”

The short reply got many supporters talking on Twitter with many feeling that Solskjaer isn’t being truly honest about how the club is being guided by the Glazers and chief executive Ed Woodward:

There is certainly an issue in terms of the time it takes to get deals over the line. You also have to question whether the club actually has a transfer strategy in place at all. The potential signing of Edinson Cavani on a free transfer is just one example, among many, of the club making decisions on the fly rather than basing their actions on any plan.
