Who has been United’s best player over their current 9 game winning run?

We will reveal the results in a few days time. Read on and let’s take a closer look at each player.

Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has been one of United’s most important players since he joined the club back in 2020. He’s only been a Manchester United player for three years – it feels like so much longer, which is a testament to his impact.

During his time at Old Trafford, Bruno has scored 39 goals from 101 appearances.

Yes, a lot of them have been penalties (is he supposed to miss them?), but this shouldn’t be any sort of black mark on his glittering United record.

Casemiro

Casemiro was arguably United’s MVP against Manchester City even though Bruno Fernandes got the player of the match award. The former Real Madrid man and 5 time Champions League winner was rock solid throughout and played an excellent ball to help set up the winning goal.

The Brazilian has been a revelation since his arrival at Old Trafford, with some viewing him as the defensive midfielder that United have spent years crying out for, especially after his superb World Cup too.

At 30, the former La Liga star isn’t getting any younger, but he also appears to be playing at the peak of his powers. Many fans from other clubs scoffed at his price tag in the summer – they aren’t laughing now.

Luke Shaw

Luke Shaw joined Manchester United back in 2014, signing from Southampton. It hasn’t been the best time to be a Red Devils fan since then – but Luke Shaw has almost always been a ray of hope during the post-Fergie era.

He’s fluctuated in form and fallen out of favour with various head coaches like the bizarre situation with Jose Mourinho, but Shaw has reached a high level of consistency in recent years.

United have only let in two goals in their last five games – Shaw has been a constant presence in these matches even filling admirably as a centre-back.

Marcus Rashford

One of the most popular footballers on the planet, Marcus Rashford has really begun to hit his stride this season. He has scored in every competition for United in this campaign – he’s got 15 goals so far.

When he burst onto the scene back in 2016, he immediately announced himself as one of the world’s leading young talents. Now, in 2023, he finally seems to be living up to all the hype.

He’s still only 25 – he has plenty of time to grow into an even better and more lethal attacking player.
