“What A Player…” Alejandro Garnacho Hails 21 Year Old After He Makes His First Start For United

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has praised teammate Facundo Pellistri after he played the full 90 minutes against Real Betis on Thursday evening.

Manager Erik ten Hag handed the 21-year-old his first start for the club, and he certainly made an impression on Garnacho, who left a complimentary remark on one of Pellistri’s Instagram posts:

“What A Player”

With the Red Devils 4-1 up from the first leg, it was a good chance for ten Hag to use his squad and give someone like Pellistri an opportunity to show what they can do.

The Uruguayan international has been at Old Trafford for two and a half years but most of his time has been spent out on loan at Alaves, where he made 35 appearances across two spells.

Pellistri is slowly but surely getting opportunities for United and ten Hag said he was “pretty pleased” with his performance against Betis, although he did emphasise he will need to continue making steps forward if he wants more game time in the future.
