Manchester United are interested in signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves but the Portuguese international could cost close to £50m, according to reports in the UK.
The Red Devils are keen on strengthening their options in the middle of the park this month and the 24-year-old has been a long-term target.
However, despite the fact that reinforcements are required in midfield, most supporters on Twitter don’t believe that Neves would be worth the outlay:
Forget about it then, we won’t pay that

There's 0 chance we pay 50m unless we make back close to that from outgoings

Neves has also been linked with Arsenal in the past, and that competition from other Premier League teams may well keep the price tag high.
United are also reportedly considering a move for Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara. The Frenchman has six months remaining on his contract so he would be a cheaper alternative.
On top of that, he is more of a traditional holding midfield player, which is something that the current squad lacks. Neves, in contrast, is more attack-minded.
