Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, along with Chelsea and Liverpool.

The 21-year-old impressed during the UEFA Nations League Final, playing alongside Paul Pogba for France against Spain, and fans on Twitter are very keen to see the player make the switch to Old Trafford:

United’s options in midfield have be questioned by supporters and pundits, with many feeling that the likes of Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Fred don’t possess sufficient quality to help the team mount a serious title challenge.

Tchouameni is still pretty young and inexperienced but it is widely believed that he has a big future in the game. Chelsea, in particular, have been monitoring the France international for the best part of the year and would likely be the Red Devils’ biggest challengers for the player’s signature.

It will be interesting to see whether United do look to make a move for him in the January transfer window or if they will wait until next summer.
