‘We Do Not Have To Sell’ Club President Delivers Bullish Response To Claims United Will Bid For £17.5m Rated Starlet

Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has responded to Manchester United’s interest in midfielder Elif Elmas.

The 19-year-old is reportedly a player that the Red Devils would like to sign this summer, along with Manchester City and Tottenham.

However, Koc says any team will have to stump up significant cash if they want to snap up Elmas:

“Bring your offer to talk. Too many teams are interested in this transfer which is currently on the agenda but we do not have to sell Elif.”

Reports in Turkey suggest that Fenerbahce are looking for €20m (£17.5m) for the teenager. The Turkish club are said to have already rejected a €15m offer from Fiorentina.

Inter Milan, Lazio, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven are also believed to be watching Elmas.

The Macedonian already has 10 caps for his country at senior level, while for his club he made 39 appearances in all competitions last campaign, scoring three goals.

Elmas generally plays in central midfield, but he has also been utilised in a holding midfield role, as well as out wide on both flanks.
