There has been a lot of debate surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo and his future at Manchester United over the past few months.

Some have argued that, at 37 years of age, the Portuguese international is no longer suited to leading the line for a club looking to play a modern brand of attacking football. The impending arrival of Erik ten Hag has raised more questions over whether the Dutchman would want the forward to be part of his revolution at Old Trafford.

However, Ronaldo’s goal record since returning to Manchester last summer has been superb, having scored 24 times in 39 appearances. Many feel that without him the club would have sunk to even lower depths.
