‘Was A Beast Out There’ Fans Call On Solskjaer To Start United Star Against Chelsea Following Sociedad Display

Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly put in a solid performance against Real Sociedad last night as he helped the Red Devils keep a clean sheet in the second leg of the Europa League last 32 tie.

The Ivorian has been beset by injuries once again this season and it was only his second start in the last month but fans on Twitter think he should be in contention to face Chelsea this weekend.

Considering Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire have failed to convince as a centre-back pairing, there is a strong argument to be made for Bailly to come back into the starting eleven.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems reluctant to hand him a run in the side. The centre-half has been an unused substitute in four of the last six Premier League games, with United having only picked up two wins during that run of matches.

Whether his fitness record has led Solskjaer to simply not trust Bailly, it isn’t known, but his display against Sociedad will surely remind his manager of what he can do.
