Wan Bissaka Singles Out “Really Tricky” United Teammate Who Has Made Him A Better Player

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has credited Marcus Rashford for helping him improve as a player.

The 21-year-old signed from Crystal Palace in the summer for £50m and he has been coming up against the England forward in training matches regularly.

Wan-Bissaka says Rashford’s unpredictability makes him a very difficult player to read as a defender:

“When I first joined United and came up against him in training, he was doing things that I just really didn’t expect. I thought he’d go a certain way and he’d go the other way, or I thought he was about to do one thing and he did another, so he’s really tricky to play against.”

“I enjoy that though, it’s been really good for my own development to test myself against him and the other attackers we have at the club.”

Rashford’s speed combined with his close ball control means he is a constant menace for any defence and considering how good Wan-Bissaka can be in one-on-ones, he should know a thing or two.

Due to the current health crisis, Wan-Bissaka won’t be going up against Rashford in training any time soon, although his teammate is reportedly making progress in his return from a back injury.

If the season does resume later in the year, United fans will be hoping to have Rashford back in the fold as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side push for a Champions League spot.
