Manchester United cannot afford to be as open as they were against Norwich when they face Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow night, so manager Ralf Rangnick may ring the changes.
David De Gea will start in goal, but there could be a change at fullback. Alex Telles was very poor at the weekend, so Diogo Dalot may well be asked to swap flanks (with Luke Shaw injured), leaving Aaron Wan-Bissaka to fill in on the right-hand side.
Rangnick has said that Raphael Varane is touch and go to be ready for the trip to Merseyside, so there is a chance that the Frenchman will line up alongside captain Harry Maguire in the centre of defence.
In midfield, Nemanja Matic steadied the ship after coming on versus Norwich, so he could replace Paul Pogba, with Jesse Lingard and Bruno Fernandes staying in the side.
Anthony Elanga, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho seems to be Rangnick’s favoured front three at the moment so expect them to start tomorrow.
Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:
De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Varane, Dalot, Matic, Fernandes, Lingard, Elanga, Ronaldo, Sancho
