Varane, Pogba And Telles To Start, Lindelof And Fred Out: United’s Predicted XI To Face Leeds

Manchester United got the win they needed against Brighton midweek and, while it was by no means a vintage display, it will be hoped they can build on that momentum when they face Leeds at Elland Road tomorrow.

David De Gea will start in goal, after another excellent performance on Tuesday. Raphael Varane has recovered from illness so he is likely to be recalled, with Victor Lindelof the favourite to make way and Harry Maguire keeping his place.

Alex Telles could be favoured ahead of Luke Shaw at left-back, while Diogo Dalot has cemented his position as first choice on the opposite flank.

Fred’s disappointing performance on his return to the team against the Seagulls may see him drop out, with Paul Pogba coming in alongside Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.

Cristiano Ronaldo answered his critics with his display in the Brighton win, so the Portuguese forward is expected to lead the line again, with Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga playing either side of him.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Leeds:

De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Telles, McTominay, Fernandes, Pogba, Elanga, Ronaldo, Sancho
