Varane, Malacia And Van De Beek To Start, Maguire Dropped: United’s Predicted XI To Play Liverpool

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is likely to ring the changes for the Liverpool clash after the chastening defeat to Brentford last time out.

David De Gea will keep his place in goal, despite his errors, mainly because there is no one else who can really replace him.

Tyrell Malacia may come in for Luke Shaw, who has started the season in very poor form. Diogo Dalot is expected to line up on the opposite flank.

Ten Hag could make the bold call to drop captain Harry Maguire in favour of Raphael Varane, with the Frenchman partnering Lisandro Martinez in the centre of defence.

A shakeup in midfield is also likely, with Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay coming in to replace Christian Eriksen and Fred. Bruno Fernandes will retain his position at no.10 for now.

Up front, Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line, with Jadon Sancho on the right wing and Marcus Rashford on the opposite flank. Anthony Martial may only be fit enough for the bench.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:

De Gea, Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia, van de Beek, Fernandes, McTominay, Sancho, Ronaldo, Rashford
