United’s £108m Deal For Sancho Is Now One Step Closer As Dortmund Make Key Decision

Borussia Dortmund will accept a transfer fee paid in instalments for winger Jadon Sancho, according to Bild. The German tabloid claims they now accept that Manchester United will not pay the full amount upfront.

However, the Bundesliga side are still sticking to their €120m (£108m) asking price but this latest development means payments could be paid over many years, helping the Red Devils to finance the deal.

It has been reported in the English press that United are planning a very low opening offer for Sancho, with a deal similar to Bruno Fernandes, which is dependent on a number of add-ons.

Whether such a deal would be accepted by Dortmund, it is unlikely, but their willingness to agree on a structured payment plan will make negotiations run more smoothly.

There are still questions over whether CEO Ed Woodward would be willing to meet Dortmund’s demands, in terms of Sancho’s overall price tag, but it seems progress is being made.
