United Yet To Decide On Bid For 22 Year Old Danish Centre-Back

Manchester United will not make a move for Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen in the January transfer window, according to reports in the local media. However, the Dane could yet make the switch in the summer.

The 22-year-old has been scouted on a number of occasions by the Red Devils, but the club’s managerial situation means no offer this month will be made.

Andersen is also reportedly being targeted by Tottenham and Inter Milan, while Arsenal have also been linked with the player.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a fan of the centre-back, and if the Argentine were to move to Old Trafford in the summer, he could give the go-ahead to the transfer.

There are, of course, a lot of hypotheticals involved in that scenario. The Denmark Under 21 international has experienced a rapid rise in recent months.

He was barely involved last season with just ten appearances in all competitions but he has become a first team regular for Sampdoria this campaign.
