United Would Be Prepared To ‘Pay More Than’ £174M To Sign Brazilian Ace

Manchester United would be willing to “pay more than” €200m (£174m) if Vinicius Jnr asks to leave Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.

The Brazilian international was the subject of racist abuse during the 1-0 defeat to Valencia at the weekend, and there has been speculation that he could seek a move away from Spain.

Vinicius’s advisors are said to be working on plans for the winger to change clubs if he ultimately decides he has had enough of the problems he has faced at Real.

It is believed that the 22-year-old would be keen on moving to the Premier League if things come to a head. He has had good experiences in English stadiums where he has felt the crowds have respected him,

Defensa Central claim that United would be Vinicius’s most likely destination if he wanted to leave immediately. Both the finances required for the deal, and the fact that former teammate Casemiro is already at Old Trafford, would make it a perfect landing spot for him.

Can United afford to spend £174m On Vinicius?

It’s probably wise to take these reports with a large pinch of salt if you are a United fan. With the club still in takeover talks, no transfers will be agreed in the meantime.

When you factor in Financial Fair Play regulations too, you would have to think that smashing the club’s transfer record is not on the agenda.
