United beat Feyenoord 1-0 thanks to Ibra’s fearless far post header where he looked like the only winner as he leapt above all the defenders to score on 69 minutes. There only looked like winner and the Swedish striker leapt high above the other defenders to make the ball his and head it into the goal giving United a slender lead which they had to work to keep a hold of but ultimately held on for their first three points. Importantly it was the first goal in five games for Zlatan.

So JM avoids both United’s first 2 loss streak in a European competition and he avoids his first 2 loss streak in a European competition since when he was with Real Madrid back in 2013. United were sitting in the basement of Group A after their loss to Feyenoord in the first round but now they are up into 3rd place looking in a much better position.
United played a decent game with Juan Mata again impressing as Mourinho decided to stick with the attacking quartet – Ibrahimovic, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata – that started Saturday’s 4-1 win.
