United Weighing Up Shock Sale Of 15M Summer Signing After Struggling To Convince Solskjaer

Manchester United are considering whether to sell left-back Alex Telles just months after signing the Brazilian international from Porto, according to reports.

Italian website Calciomercato.com, citing stories in Portugal, says the defender has failed to convince since his £15m move in October and an exit this summer is now looking possible.

Telles’s record of three assists in 13 appearances for United looks pretty good on paper but he has not been able to dislodge Luke Shaw as the club’s first-choice left-back.

The 28-year-old has played just two games since the New Year, coming in the 1-0 win over Watford in the FA Cup and the 2-1 league defeat to Sheffield United last month.

Telles actually provided an assist in both of those matches, but it may be his defensive qualities which have been called into question by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

With Calciomercato not substantiating this rumour with a source, it would be wise to take this news with a large pinch of salt.
