Manchester United are interested in signing Monaco left-back Fode Ballo-Toure, according to reports in the English media.
The France Under 21 international, who has also been linked to Chelsea in recent weeks, is being considered by the Red Devils as they look to reinforce their options at left-back.
Luke Shaw‘s injury problems have meant that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had to rely on youngster Brandon Williams a lot this season.
The 19-year-old has certainly impressed when given the opportunity but it seems as though Ballo-Toure could be lined up as potential competition for the teenager.
The Frenchman only moved from Lille to Monaco in January 2019, but he has established himself as a first-team regular, having made 45 appearances over the past eighteen months.
It must be said that Ballo-Toure isn’t the greatest defensively but he is strong in the final third of the pitch, and that could be why United have decided to target him.
